Richelle and I on the beach at the MANA conference
Hello friends, students, midwives and doulas,
Wow, I am so excited to share with you the wonderful blessings of my weekend at the MANA conference! What an amazing group of women. Over 400 midwifery students, midwives, doulas, childbirth educators and presenters gathered on the coast of California in Monterey Bay to celebrate, learn, network, share, bond and be enlightened! It was a marvelous and inspiring experience and I recommend it for all who are servants in the birthing world, midwife and student alike. Here are some photos of my dear friend Richelle and I and the great sunset we watched on our last night there. She is the midwife of the twin birth in the newborn exam film. We enjoyed the great skills classes on the pre conference day as well as the presentations of experts who presented well prepared interactive lectures on current topics with research to support their information. It was deeply nourishing to our souls to connect and network with such a diverse group of beautiful, deeply passionate and committed women who desire to make the world a better place through their dedication to creating gentle, safe and supportedĀ birth passages for mama’s and baby’s.
Through this experience, I feel the midwife I want to be in my heart birthing into being…..
